Benefit Dinner for Local Man Set for October 24 at Rod and Gun Club

KNOX, Pa. (EYT) — A benefit dinner and concert are being held October 24 for a local man who has prostate cancer and other health issues.

The event benefits Gary McCleary who has prostate cancer and glaucoma, among other health issues.

He recently had two eye surgeries on his left eye to correct pressure due to glaucoma and has many checkups where he must pay for co-pays and travel expenses to Monroeville and Butler.

The event features a chili dinner, a Chinese auction, bingo, and a concert by the band “The Legends.”

Bingo will be held 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

A Chinese auction will take place from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., with 26 tickets costing $10.00.

The chili dinner will be at 4:00 p.m. for $5.00, which will get chili, bread, dessert and a lemonade or fruit punch drink.

The band “The Legends” will perform beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The event will be held at the Clarion County Rod and Gun Club in Knox, Pa.
