Parker Man Allegedly Caught on Camera Burglarizing Farmington Township Property

FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — A Parker man is facing charges after he allegedly removed several items from a seasonal residence in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

According to a criminal complaint, on September 4, Trooper Shawn Nicewonger of Marienville-based State Police investigated a burglary at a seasonal residence near Leeper in which the victim reported on August 26 someone forced entry into a storage shed near his camp.

The victim said the incident was recorded in photographs taken by a game camera he had set up near the camp, the complaint states.

The victim reported several items were taken from the shed, including a 16-foot ladder tree stand, a platform tree stand, a 16-foot Field and Stream climbing stick, two marine batteries, a 10-gallon boat gas tank, a 12-inch Homelite chainsaw, a 14-inch Homelite chainsaw, and various tools, according to the complaint.

The photos allegedly show a specific vehicle and its license plate and a single actor, a white man with gray hair, loading items into the back of that vehicle, the complaint continues.

A police check for the vehicle registration showed it belonged to Joseph Allen Everetts, 63, of Parker, a white man with gray hair, the complaint states.

On September 24, Trooper Kathleen Watters went to the residence of Everetts and allegedly observed the same vehicle as depicted in the photos, according to the complaint.

Everetts allegedly allowed Trooper Watters to look around the property, and she allegedly observed a cardboard box containing a 16-foot Field and Stream climbing stick, which is allegedly the same box depicted in the camera photos, the complaint states.

Everetts allegedly confessed to police that he entered the victim’s shed and at least one other shed believed to be in Eldred Township, Jefferson County, where the victim reported a 22-foot Werner adjustable ladder, a small table saw, a small air compressor, and a Homelite weed trimmer, and leaf blower were among the items taken, according to the complaint.

Everetts was allegedly unsure of which items he took from which shed, but remembered the adjustable ladder, the complaint states.

Based upon the victim’s statement, photographic evidence, and Everetts’ alleged confession, Trooper Watters requested an arrest warrant be issued for Everetts.

According to online court documents, he was arraigned at 10:30 a.m. on October 8 before District Judge Timothy Schill.

He faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of Burglary of a structure not adapted for overnight accommodation with no person present, Felony 2
