Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser Set for December 13 for Knox Boy Injured in Freak Accident

LUCINDA, Pa. (EYT) — Lucinda Baseball is hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Sunday, December 13, for a Knox boy injured in a freak accident that occurred earlier this month.

The event — held for 12-year-old Seth Apel, son of Angela and Josh Apel, of Knox — is from noon until 4:00 p.m. at the Antler Club of Lucinda located at 231 Sunset Drive.

Proceeds from this event will go to Seth and his family.

The dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, beverage, and dessert.

Donations will be accepted at the door.

There will also be a Chinese auction. Winners will be drawn at 4:00 p.m.

Seth lost his arm while helping his family cut firewood on November 7.

He was flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh where doctors re-attached the injured arm in an eight-hour surgery.

Surgeons were able to save his arm, the same one he uses to pitch in baseball.

Doctors say his prognosis is day-to-day.
