MARIENVILLE, Pa. — Roxanne Thornton’s Kindergarten students at East Forest School responded to the assignment: “How do you cook a turkey?”

Brady: I would cut the wings off the turkey and then put salt on it and then put pepper on it. Put it in the oven and cook it for 10 minutes. That’s what my pap does. Then we eat it.

Alex: I will hunt for a turkey and then put ingredients in it. Cook it in the oven for 8 minutes. Take it out and put it on a plate. That’s all.

Jackson: To make a turkey, I will put salt on it. I will put peppers on it and I would put cucumbers and ham on it. Put beans and potatoes on it and put pepperoni on it with cheese sauce and little Cheez-Its. Put pickles and red seasoning on it and that’s all.

Hailee: 1. Put stuffing in it 2. Put salt in it 3. Put pepper in it 4. Put garlic 5. put it in the oven then eat it.

Luke: Step 1 Take the wrapper off and put it in the oven Step 2 Wait for it to be done cooking Step 3 Take it out when it’s done. Check if it’s hot. Step 4 Cut it up Step 5 Now eat it.
