Venango County Man Jailed After Allegedly Threatening to Kill Girlfriend with Scissors

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man was jailed Saturday after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman.

Oil City Police say 38-year-old David V. McMunn, of Oil City, allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend with a pair of scissors.

The alleged incident occurred at an apartment on West Third Street around 12:05 p.m.

McMunn was arrested on misdemeanor Simple Assault charges.

He was processed at the Oil City Police Department before being arraigned by District Judge Patrick Lowrey.

McMunn was lodge in the Venango County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for December 2 in Venango County Central Court.
