On January 30, Democratic U.S. Senate candidates Admiral Joe Sestak and Katie McGinty, along with Democratic 5th District U.S. Congressional candidate Kerith Strano Taylor, of Brookville, joined Clarion County voters at the Clarion House Bed and Breakfast to meet them and discuss political issues on the horizon this year.

“The fact that these major candidates traveled here tells you how much they value the voters in this county, and highlights the urgency of the issues Pennsylvanians are facing in the upcoming election,” said Bill Miller, chairman of the Clarion County Democratic Party. “We are so honored that they were able to make it.”

P.J. Monella of Morrisdale spoke on behalf of State Treasurer candidate Joe Torsella and State Auditor General Eugene DePasquale. Representatives for U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman, along with those for with State Attorney General candidates John Morganelli, Josh Shapiro and Stephen Zappala Jr., also attended the luncheon.

Andy Lingwall, a member of the Clarion County Democratic Party’s Executive Committee, moderated the luncheon. “Our recent sweep of the state judicial races in November sets the stage for the next round of elections,” he told guests. “Let’s build on this momentum and give voters some more great democrats to work with this election season.”
