SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A Shippenville couple were arrested for allegedly operating a Methamphetamine lab at 118 Railroad Street, in Shippenville Borough, Clarion County.
According to court documents, criminal charges were filed against 28-year-old Amanda Lynn Wilson and 31-year-old Steven C. Wilson, both of Shippenville.
According to a criminal complaint, Clarion County Probation Officer Jay Kerle advised Detective William H. Peck, of the Clarion County Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), of a suspected methamphetamine lab at 118 Railroad Street in Shippenville Borough.
The complaint indicates that Officer Kerle was at the above address to conduct a probation check on Amanda Wilson who reside there. Upon entering the home, Clarion Probation encountered both Amanda and Steve Wilson inside the residence. Officer Kerle observed Sudafed boxes, “Cold Packs,” and Lithium batteries in the kitchen area. He also observed a plastic tote containing “acid generators,” “one pots,” and Coleman fuel in the upstairs spare bedroom area of the house. Amanda Wilson allegedly told Clarion Probation there were other items used to manufacture Methamphetamine in the house.
The complaint states that around 7:20 p.m. on February 3, Detective Peck responded to the scene. Detective Peck identified two occupants who live at the residence, Steven C. Wilson and Amanda Lynn Wilson.
At 7:28 p.m. Detective Peck interviewed Steven Wilson. Wilson was read the Miranda Warnings, and he agreed to an interview. Wilson said that “he was unaware of any Methamphetamine activity occurring at his residence. He said that he was with his wife Amanda today. They went to her probation appointment, and he drove her to Walmart where she purchased a box of Sudafed. He said that he then drove to The Dollar Store, and he purchased some Lithium batteries. He then went to an area garage, his wife took the car and picked up his relative, and he purchased a box of Sudafed for her and then they returned home,” according to the complaint.
Detective Peck asked Steven Wilson if he used Meth, and he stated “no.” Detective Peck then asked him if he had any knowledge of the Meth related items in the house, and he stated “no,” the complaint continues.
Around 7:39 p.m. on February 3, Detective Peck interviewed Amanda Lynn Wilson. She was read the Miranda Warnings. She told Detective Peck that she “purchased Sudafed today at Walmart and then went to The Dollar Store, and she purchased cold compacts. She said that her husband, Steve Wilson, purchased Lithium batteries at The Dollar Store. She said that she and her husband have been cooking Meth for the past two months.” the complaint states.
She said that “her husband usually cooks the Meth, and she cleans up the ‘mess,'” the complaint continues.
Amanda Wilson also told Detective Peck that there are two totes in the upstairs of the residence — one contains “garbage” bottles and items used after the Meth process is complete, and the other tote contains supplies to make Methamphetamine, the complaint indicates.
Detective Peck observed some of the items that probation located at the residence. The items were consistent with items used in the manufacture of Methamphetamine “one pot” method. PSP Troop C Vice Unit and CNET served a search warrant on the residence and seized the items.
Based on the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for both individuals.
A preliminary arraignment was held for Steve Wilson at 11:30 p.m. on February 3 in Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk’s office.
Amanda Wilson was arraigned today at 10:45 a.m. in front of Judge Turk.
Both suspects face the following charges:
– Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Possession of Red Phosphorus, etc. w/Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substance, Felony
– Operating a Methamphetamine Lab, Felony 2
– Knowingly Possessing Ephedrine, Misdemeanor
Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail each, they were lodged in the Clarion County Jail.
A preliminary hearing for both individuals is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on February 9 with Judge Turk presiding.
