Knox Man Jailed on Firearms, Drug Possession, Trespass Charges

KNOX, Pa. – A 61-year-old Knox man is facing drug and firearms charges following a trespassing incident Saturday afternoon.

According to a release from Clarion-based State Police, the victim contacted authorities Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 around 1:06 p.m. about James McCoy trespassing on the victim’s property.

Police say they made contact with McCoy and found him to be possession of a loaded firearm and marijuana. Police say that due to a past criminal history McCoy is prohibited from owning a firearm.

He was taken into custody and arraigned on the following charges:

– Persons not to Possess/Use/Manufacture, Control, Sell, Transfer Firearms, Felony 2
– Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana/Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Criminal Trespass, Summary

McCoy was lodged in the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 bond.
